Navigating through the treacherous paths of Thunder Mountain to reach the Thunder Lord boss area can be daunting, and dare we say, filled with devilish laughs as scary lightning beasts pass you by. However, with the right instructions and understanding of the game's tracking features, you'll find your way. This guide will walk you through the process, utilizing markers, walls, and aisles as your main navigation tools.

Step 1: Entering the Map

  • Upon entering the Devil's Valley map, head towards the first northeast opening. This is your starting point for the journey to the Thunder Lord. So, this assumes you are entering through violet city, and you need to go out the south gate. Pass through east-lake village to find it out the south side. So when you are entering the mountain, you are on the north side of it. That is why we say, the North-east hole.

Step 2: Using the Location Beep to find the first entrance

  • Press Shift and the [O, K, L, ;] keys to find the first hole going east. When first entering, go south slightly after entering, then all the way east until you find it. This will allow you to then track your target continuously with a location beep by pressing Shift and the left bracket after selecting your target. This feature is crucial for staying on the correct path. After entering it, bumping into a wall will say, "monster mountain."
  • To break it down even further: Walk towards the area labeled as Valley. From there, adjust your direction to a southeast angle leading you towards Thunder Mountain.

Step 3: Following the Path

  • Once you've entered through the hole on the north face of Thunder Mountain, a long winding path awaits. It's essential to stay on the markers for guidance. Markers here mean a hole, or just the way the path curves and they are landmarks announced to you as you walk along it.
 - Follow the wall until you find either an aisle or another hole.
 - If you find a hole, note that the aisle will be perpendicular to the wall you were following.

Step 4: Key Navigation Points

  • Remember, your keys to navigation are the markers, walls, and aisles. Do not turn unless you encounter one of these navigation points. The path first goes south for awhile, but then will turn on itself and you will enter a second cave. The thunder cave will be at coordinates 275, 120. It will be another hole, and you'll have to go through that outer thunder cave before you reach the inner one. This means that technically, there are 3 map changes to the Thunder Lord. He is deep in there. The final entrance is at the location which says, "aisle;8;29;Thunder Cave." This is not easy or simple to get to. You will go through several times in which the path winds around
  • The path may seem long, making it feel like you're not making progress. However, it's designed to lead you to the Thunder Lord eventually. Patience and attention to the markers and navigation points are your best tools. Don't give up.

Final Step: Reaching the Thunder Lord

  • Continue following the path as it twists and turns, as outlined in the steps above. Eventually, this path will lead you to the Thunder Lord boss area, where you can face your ultimate challenge. Maybe pick up a skill crystal as part of your luck with the boss drop.
  • It is best to memory butterfly right outside the exit before the 3rd and final map. While the boss is not usually right at the start of it, there is always that slight chance!

Remember, the journey to the Thunder Lord is as much about persistence and understanding the terrain as it is about combat readiness. Good luck! Stay Misty!
